Chunjie - Chinesisches Neujahrsfest
217The Chinese New Year, Chunjie (春節 / 春节), is considered the most important traditional Chinese holiday and is one of the Asian lunar new years. Since the Chinese calendar is a lunisolar calendar, unlike the Gregorian calendar, the Chinese New Year falls on different days each year.
The Chinese New Year 2026 is marked by the Fire Horse, which symbolises energy, passion, freedom and drive, and brings with it a strong sense of new beginnings and change, as it is a special 60-year cycle year. The celebration traditionally lasts 15 days and ends with the Lantern Festival. This year, it begins on 17 February and continues until 3 March 2026.
